Description
The FLSTF Fat Boy is that specific model for the Softail family due to the load of distinctive features. It is often recognized as Harley’s biggest success from the early 1990s! The machine rules the road with a unique size and stature. The Fat Boy rides wide on a 200 mm rear tire and 17-inch front wheel and bright chrome fork nacelle. Premium components like Bullet Hole Disc Aluminum wheels and fat front forks define this Softail as the iconic Fat Boy. New optional mirror polished chrome-plated wheels can emphasize the Fat Boy look.
Named for its rear-suspension design, which imitates the lines of a vintage hard-tail frame but provides the comfort of modern suspension that is hidden under the chassis, each Softail has clean lines, a low seat height, and a rigid-mounted, counter-balanced Twin Cam 96B powertrain. The rigid powertrain enables tight packaging of the engine and frame and creates a solid connection between the rider and the power that moves the motorcycle, maximizing the experience of riding.
Every Softail model also comes with the 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission for outstanding mid-range torque and relaxed engine speed when cruising. Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI) imprives engine efficiency, delivers crisp throttle response and easy starting, and self-adjusts for changing environmental conditions to keep performance. A horseshoe oil tank placed below the seat, forward foot controls or foot boards, the classic Fat Bob fuel tank, and the ideal execution of custom detail in paint and metal are design features that identify each Softail model.
